Omission Brewing Co. - Gluten Free - IPA
Gluten-Free Beer! Not really beer technically but let’s review it. I love the mission that Omission is on (no pun intended) to produce gluten-free beer for those who can not enjoy beer due to the gluten content in beer. So cheers to you guys 🍻. Today we are checking out their Indian Pale Ale which is a very light clear yet refreshingly crisp ale. Not so much an IPA by nature and form but as a beer and a gluten-free beer it has some nice characteristics. The color of the beer is a clear golden orange tone, Very clear for an IPA, the smell is not as powerful and the taste is clean crisp but lacks the depth of a traditional IPA. overall i am not running to the store to buy this for myself. I am very fortunate to not have gluten issues, however if I did, I would be kissing the cans of Omission.
From them…
Omission IPA is a bold, hop-forward Northwest-style IPA. Pacific Northwest hops to give it notable pine, citrus, and grapefruit aromas and flavors. The bitterness is what you would expect of an NW IPA, but this beer is balanced and smooth due to the perfect level of malt sweetness. The finish is crisp, clean, and refreshing – it’s a true IPA lover’s IPA.
ABV - 6.7%
IBU - 65
