ALEWIFE BREWING Co - Death To Ego, A Double Dry Hopped IPA

DEATH TO EGO! what a great title for a beer, and yes i said title, because it stands apart from just a name. This is a BEER beer by Alewife Brewing out of Sunnyside NY. And i am loving their new outdoor set up. Spring is going to be on fire over there.

OK so i am hopping on the beer because it is so nicely layered and brewed. It is a light beer coming in at a low 6.1% ABV but being a double dry hopped beer, it is very bitter. The crisp refreshing flavor is over powered by the bitter end. This is their flagship beer and does hold its own, it is just not my favorite. I guess i am more a floral tropical hazy IPA. Definitely a must try.

Death To Ego: double dry-hopped IPA. Brewed with copious amounts of Azacca, Centennial & El Dorado hops which create a romantic melody of flavor with notes of apricot, mango, pineapple & grapefruit. All the hops, not the bite!
