BROOKLYN BREWERY Defender IPA
NO FUN TILL BROOOOOOOKKKKKKKLLLLLLLYYYYYYYYNNNNNNN… or at least till we get to the Brooklyn Brewery [ @brooklynbrewery ] to try some beers.
OK, so on today’s review we dive into Brooklyn Breweries Defender IPA… A Golden Indian Pale Ale that comes in a low 5.5% Alcohol By Volume (ABV), This is low for an IPA, and seeing that it is a Golden IPA we could figure it would be on the lighter side. Did that appeal to my taste buds, No! Sorry Brooklyn Brewery, this IPA comes in a little flat, I can taste the hops, however, it is so clear it looks like a pilsner, and it doesn’t have much fizz in the beer which makes it a little dull to drink. I feel they are trying to make a lighter more drinkable IPA, which I dig and respect the effort in making that, but why call it Defender, There is no protection for a good Indian Pale Ale. They claim it has a lot of hops and aroma, I just couldn’t find it. Sorry BK, I love what you guys do but this is not your best work.
From Them…
Defender IPA is by your side no matter the pursuit. Strong notes of tropical fruit, keen hop bitterness and an incredibly dry finish make it at home with any hobby, welcome at any game, and ready for any geeky calling. #DefendBeer
