Carton Brewing Co. Beach Sessions Ale with Orange Zest

This is a Summer Beer from @cartonbrewing Carton Brewing of Highlands NJ. They are located in the cool coastal town of highlands NJ, however, they brew their brew at Two Roads Brewing out of Stratford CT. They have brewed a special sessions ale with orange zest named BEACH, and why not, it is an easy-drinking beer designed to drink at the beach, and who better to brew something like this than a beach town brew team. The beer is a beautiful color packed with the zesty orange flavor, it is a pale cream with a hint of orange tone in the color of the beer and the beer is a very light session with a love ABV of only 4% it is an easy refreshing drink. really reminds me of the hard seltzers but is a beer so it has a very unique finish. I would definitely drink one (or a case) at the beach or poolside for sure or even just to refresh myself on a hot summer day. Definitely, a different type of beer than I usually drink however I can dig it.

Like the tension and relief of a day spent flitting between laying on the sand under the beating sun and bobbing on the ocean’s cool surf, summer session drinking needs leisurely contrast. With Beach, we find that midpoint where Kolsch yeast’s fruity character matches its lean dryness and where an amber’s roundness gets pulled taut by cracker notes. The hops’ fruity aromatics flow, and the bitterness ebbs, with a swash of orange zest to be clean and lean, bitter and bright. Drink Beach and be chill.
